SMS opt-in
xChk sends a person a text message for one reason: an AI agent that person is responsible for has attempted an action that requires a human decision, and we need to ask them to approve or refuse it. Messages are transactional and are only ever sent to the account holder about their own agents.
Where consent is collected
Consent is collected during account enrollment at in.xchk.io/enroll.html, on the step where the account holder enters their own phone number. The enrollment link is personal to the account holder, so the live page requires their enrollment code — the step is reproduced below exactly as it appears to them.
The consent step, as shown during enrollmentShown for reference — the controls above are inactive. Consent is given inside the enrollment flow, and the checkbox is never pre-ticked: leaving it unticked completes enrollment without SMS.
